Ingredients

  • 400 g Turkey mince
  • 4 pcs Zucchini, peeled, julienned
  • 200 g Canned tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 pcs Red onion, finely sliced
  • 1 pcs Onion, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp Almonds, ground
  • 2 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 sprig Basil, fresh
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tsp Sea salt
  • 2 tbsp Mild red paprika powder
  • 1 tsp White pepper, fresh ground

Method

  1. Place the julienned zucchini into a bowl then sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Set aside for a while.
  2. Heat 1tsp olive oil in a saucepan and sauté the onions. When it's done, take off from heat.
  3. Mix the turkey mince with salt, white pepper, sautéed onions, and ground almond in a bowl and form little balls (the smaller the balls, the easier to cook them).
  4. Heat the olive oil in a deep skillet and brown the meatballs.
  5. Cover the turkey to avoid drying and get some sauce under the meat.
  6. When there's some liquid under the meat, add paprika powder, garlic, and canned tomatoes.
  7. Continue to cook for 15 minutes more.
  8. While the sauce is cooking, drain the liquid from the zucchini.
  9. Serve the spaghetti topped with tomato sauce and turkey meatballs.
  10. Decorate with fresh basil leaves.
