Ingredients

  • 250 g Fresh cranberries
  • 200 g Cane sugar
  • 1 pcs Large apple, peeled, cored and diced
  • 130 ml Fresh orange juice
  • 1 tbsp Orange zest
  • 2 pcs Celery stalk
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 2 pinch Cloves, ground
  • 80 g Golden raisins
  • 7 pcs Pecans
  • 1 tsp Ginger, ground
  • 1 pinch Salt

Method

  1. Place a saucepan over medium heat and add the water, cranberries, and sugar. Allow to boil then reduce the heat a little. Cook for around 10 minutes until all the cranberries pop.
  2. Slowly stir in the apple, orange juice and zest, celery, raisins, pecans, cloves, ginger, and salt as you stir frequently. Cook for around 30 minutes until the sauce reduces and the celery softens.
  3. Remove from heat and cover to allow the chutney to thicken for around 15 minutes.
  4. You are ready to serve.
