Ingredients

  • 650 ml Grape juice
  • 6 pcs Pears, peeled
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 pcs Cinnamon stick

Method

  1. Pour the grape juice into a pot that is big enough to still hold the juice when you place in the pears (that means it must approximately hold twice the amount of juice needed).
  2. Add the cloves then make it boil.
  3. Place the pears in, add the vanilla extract, and reduce the heat so it does not boil but simmering, to make the pears tender.
  4. When the pears are soft in the outer side but still has some hard centers, take them out and set aside, keeping them warm.
  5. Discard the spices and make the rest of the juice boil until it starts to thicken to a syrup.
  6. Place the pears into plates then sprinkle with some grape syrup before serving.
