Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken wings (approx. 20pcs)
  • 4 tbsp Honey, raw
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp Hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Salt, fresh ground
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin, ground

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C and lightly oil 2 baking pans.
  2. Cut the top and the middle part of the wings, saving them for another dish.
  3. You only need the biggest part of them.
  4. Clean the wings and push the meat into the bottom of the bone to have a drumstick at the end as seen on the picture.
  5. Toss the wings with the salt and pepper, and then divide evenly between the pans, leaving ample room between the chicken pieces.
  6. Bake, turning the wings, and rotating the position of the pans halfway through, until crisp and golden brown for 50 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, stir the honey, soy sauce, cumin, and hot sauce together in a large bowl.
  8. Toss the chicken wings to coat, and then return to one of the pans and continue to bake until glazed, crispy, and sticky, about 5 minutes.
  9. Serve while still hot.
